Financial Agents
What makes an agent’s financial output worth relying on?
Start with the first report → See all reports ↓Overview
Financial agents can produce a market view, an investment recommendation or a candidate trading signal. Each output answers a different question. This serial asks what those outputs actually establish, what information supports them and what another system needs to know before relying on them.
We begin with the contents of an accountable market view: a precise forecast, the information available when it was made and limits on its use. We then trace how TradingAgents turns reports and debate into a recommendation. Finally, we examine how an agent’s hypothesis becomes an implemented predictor and how testing separates a promising candidate from a supported result. These are complementary investigations of separate systems, connecting financial reasoning, software behavior and empirical validation.
Three financial outputs, three questions about their support
A market view
Is the forecast precise, time-bounded and usable by its next consumer?
A recommendation
Which evidence and arguments actually reach the final judgment?
A tested signal
What did the implemented candidate survive outside its search feedback?
Read across as complementary investigations. TradingAgents and the quantitative research implementations are separate systems.
Reading order
A recommended path through the enquiry. Each report explains its part; continuation links preserve the original branches.
- Define the market viewWhat a market view must contain before a financial agent builds a position
Sets the proposed handoff contract: a resolvable forecast, admissible evidence, admission rules and limits on downstream use.
Start here - Inspect the recommendationHow AI Agents Turn Financial Evidence into a Recommendation
Makes the software concrete by tracing TradingAgents’ reports, debates, portfolio context and final recommendation back to their inputs.
- Test the signalHow an AI Agent Turns a Market Hypothesis into a Tested Signal
Moves from an argued financial idea to an executable predictor, separating search feedback, confirmation and trading usefulness.
